Presentation is a combination of actions that ends with your fly in the water. Correct execution means your fly is presented in a way that triggers a fish to bite it and enables you to detect this action. Conversely, poor presentation is more likely to result in a fish rejecting your fly OR the take not being detected.
The 3 videos below show fantastic examples of good and bad presentation, fish responses and fishing outcomes. I’ve included these clips to cover Salmon, Trout and Carp. This not only increases relevancy to more fly fishing situations, it also shows very clearly some major similarities across species and techniques.
